HMRC has now officially announced FreeAgent as one of few software suppliers supporting Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT. A great step on the pathway of MTD and a huge milestone for FreeAgent on their journey towards digital tax alternatives.
FreeAgent have been working hard alongside HMRC in order to be shortlisted; including demonstrating prototypes of their software as well as testing their MTD for VAT capabilities in HMRC’s test environment. HMRC has been testing the service with a select number of invited agencies and businesses to ensure software provides a premium experience for small businesses and accountants who will be submitting VAT returns under MTD as of April 2019.
FreeAgent have now ensured they will be working closely with HMRC to help shape MTD and continue to make this new world of digital tax as simple as possible for its users.
