Using our app on the road

24/08/18 | Advice & Guidance, Drivers

The list of jobs you have to do as an self employed Driver seems to get longer by the day. Expenses, time sheets, invoices, tax returns, banking etc. And that’s on top of hauling your rig around the country all day, navigating small roads plagued with double parked cars and motorways ravaged by middle lane hogs.

We can’t promise to do anything about those pesky middle lane hogs, but the FreeAgent app can handle pretty much everything else on that list. Most importantly that means that you can save time and a lot of hassle when it comes to dealing with the finances of your business.

Where do you stand?

With the app you can easily see where your business stands (financially) at any given moment. There’s a ‘dashboard’ that shows you what your cashflow is like, what invoices are paid, due and those that you really need to chase up.

Life on the road

Since you’re going to be on the road most of the time, you don’t have to say ‘I’ll let you know when I get back to the office’ when a customer is asking how much they owe you. You can simply check on your phone what they owe.

Time is money

The old saying ‘time is money’ is truer now than ever before and with the app you can create as many time sheets as you need. When you’ve finished a job for a client, you can press a button and have all of those time sheets rolled into an invoice to fire across to them – getting you paid quicker, in less time.

So as you can see the FreeAgent app is the modern HGV driver’s portable accountant and office that can help you make best use of your time and make sure you’ve got your finger on the pulse of your business. Check out how our customers are turbocharging their business for £20 a week here.
